Bunny for Easter

Last Thursday a student brought a little baby bunny to school. She hid it in her purse and carried it around to her classes. During lunch she started to abuse the poor little bunny (example: swinging the purse upside down and hitting it against a wall), so the bunny was taken away from her and given to the science department. When the school day was over I was elected by my department to be the new owner of the bunny. I named it Chauncy. I have now given the bunny away to a family who had a bunny who died. Not that I can't handle the responsibility of an animal, but why would I do that to myself. I travel a lot and I would have to find someone to take care of little Chauncy. Maybe when I am tired of traveling I will get another bunny. This is not an actual picture of Chauncy, but it is exactly what he looked like.

Remember the bunny the Hawkins girls had when we lived in Laurelglen? It made the mistake of spending the night in cat territory. Rough neighborhood.

Yes, her name was Trixie and she met an untimely death. I want a little bunny like that! That is the cutest thing.

Bless your soul for not keeping the bunny. For some reason I feel like I would have ended up taking care of it (because I'm driven by loyalty and guilt) and we all know that it would not be a good situation.............

I actually thought of that when I was bringing him home. I realized I was going out of town for a week and you would have been stuck at home with it. I don't think our friendship would have survived. Natalie had I known I would have given you the bunny.

I like that you named him Chauncy. That's the icing on the cake for me- but wait! Did he already have a name before you adopted him?? Who are you- Angelina Jolie or something? Ok, I've read too many trashy magazines lately.

He was actually named Pax Thien but he had a name before that also.
